A ritual, not another step

Every evening

Most of us do body care in the ninety seconds before we get dressed, half paying attention. This is built for the other version of that — the one where you take a minute, press the oil in properly, and let it settle before you move on.

  • The habit
  • Straight out of the shower, skin still damp
  • Two or three pumps warmed between your palms
  • Press upward, then wait a minute before dressing

Texture, up close

An oil, not an emulsion

There is no water in the bottle. That is why it goes onto damp skin rather than dry, and why a small amount covers more than you expect.

Warm before it touches you

Rubbed between the palms for a second first, it goes on at skin temperature instead of cold out of the bottle.

Made to disappear

Pressed in rather than rubbed in, it settles within a minute or two — long before you need to get dressed.

Three steps, two minutes

The whole routine, start to finish. It works best when you do not rush it.
1

Shower, then wait

Pat yourself down until you are no longer dripping. You want skin that is still slightly damp.

2

Warm it first

Two or three pumps into your palms, rubbed together for a second so it does not go on cold.

3

Press, do not rub

Work upward from the ankles. Give it a minute to settle before you get dressed.

What Falunara is for

Falunara makes body care for the parts of the routine nobody photographs. Not a ten-step ritual, not a shelf of bottles — one good oil and two minutes at the end of the day.

We would rather do a small number of things properly than release something new every season. Botanical Body Oil is where we started.

Before you buy

The questions people actually ask about a body oil.

Is this an oil or a lotion? +

An oil. There is no water in it, which is why you use it on damp skin — the water is already there and the oil holds it in place.

Damp skin or dry skin? +

Damp. Towel off until you are no longer dripping, then apply. On fully dry skin it takes longer to absorb and you will use more than you need.

Will it mark my clothes or sheets? +

Any body oil can if you dress before it has absorbed. Give it a minute or two and you will be fine — the same applies before getting into bed.

Which size should I start with? +

100 ml is the everyday bottle and the easier first purchase. 200 ml makes sense once it has become the one you reach for.

Can I use it on my face? +

This one is made for the body, so we would keep it below the jaw.

Two minutes, most nights

Press it into damp skin, give it a moment, and get on with your evening.
